Sudoku
Rules
Every row, column and 3x3 box (marked by the thicker lines) must contain the numbers 1-9 without any repeats
Sudoku on Puzzle Daze
Left-click a square to select it (it will turn purple). Press a number from 1-9 to enter it into the selected square. Double-click (or shift-click) a square (it will turn orange) to enter a possible number. Enter the possible number again to clear it. Select a square and press 0 to completely clear it.How to Play
By entering in possible values in the empty squares you can whittle down candidates until a square only has one possible number that goes there. Once you put in a new definite number that allows you to eliminate it as a possible from all the related rows and squares. There are more advanced solving techniques but part of the joy of Sudoku is working them out for yourself.
The dark red numbers are the givens for a puzzle, don't worry, you can't accidentally delete them. In general the less givens there are the more difficult the puzzle is. Black numbers are one that you've entered while small numbers represent a possible value that you've entered for a square.
When you've completely, correctly filled the grid a message of congratulations will appear. If this doesn't happen you've made a mistake somewhere and you'll have to scour the puzzle to find the error.

Once you put in a new definite number that allows you to eliminate it as a possible from all the related rows and squares. Especially look for chains of less/greater-than signs snaking around the board as they allow you to eliminate large amount of possibles without even needing to have any numbers.

Kakuro
Rules
Every run of squares must use some (or all) of the numbers 1-9, without repetition, so that they add up to the value given either above the run or to the left of the run.
Kakuro on Puzzle Daze
Left-click a square to select it (it will turn purple). Press a number from 1-5 to enter it into the selected square. Double-click (or shift-click) a square (it will turn orange) to enter a possible number. Enter the possible number again to clear it. Select a square and press 0 to completely clear it.How to Play
The basic way of completing Kakuros is to work out what combinations of numbers can been used to add up to the various target numbers. for instance a run of 2 squares with the target number of 4 can only be got by using 1 & 3 (you can't use 2 twice in the same run). If this run intersects a run of 2 squares with a target of 12, as in the example puzzle above, then you know the square that is involved in both must be 3 (as if the square with 1 was involved in the run with a target of 12 then you need to have 11 in the other box, which isn't possible). You can also bring along some of your Sudoku skills when it comes to eliminating possibles from squares you have yet to figure out. Kakuros can be very tough, so don't lose heart if you can't rush through them like you do the Sudokus!
